In the heart of the Cretan countryside, in the quiet village of Ano Moulia, we built Draganigo Luxury Stone Houses out of love for real hospitality and respect for the place we come from.
Our houses bring together the timeless beauty of Cretan stone architecture and the comfort you expect today: thick stone walls and beamed ceilings, but also air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, proper kitchens and beds you sleep well in.
There are no cars in the lanes around us. There is a 70 m² pool, a shared courtyard where guests end up talking to each other, and a view of olive groves that goes on until the mountains.
What we want is simple: that every guest feels the warmth of Cretan hospitality, and leaves with the kind of memory that brings them back.
Our amenities
You arrive to fresh fruit, local cheese, homemade lemonade and a glass of raki. Giorgos meets you himself, carries your bags and tells you where to eat tonight.
Cleaning every two to three days, fresh towels and linen, bins emptied, and anything you need found for you, quietly.
Stone lanes, neighbours, the bakery, the village festival you will probably be invited to. This is Crete as it still is.
Halfway between Heraklion and Matala. Twenty to forty minutes to the north coast or the south, and back to silence in the evening.
Each house carries the name of a Cretan herb. They differ in size and layout, but they share the same stone, the same care and the same pool.
